Malawi Vice President and 9 Others Goes Missing, Worst is Feared

Malawi’s Vice-President Saulos Chilima and nine others have gone missing after a plane they were travelling in failed to make a scheduled landing in Mzuzu at Mzuzu International Airport.
The plane was supposed to have landed at 10 hours on Monday morning after taking off an hour earlier from Lilongwe International Airport.
Malawi Vice President Saulos Chilima
Dr Chilima was in Mzuzu to represent the Malawi Government at a funeral and burial of the late Attorney General and former cabinet minister Ralph Kasamba.
Yesterday, the Malawi Defense Force scrambled their planes and drones in search of the missing plane and vice president.
Malawi journalist Winstone Mwale of Africa Brief confirms that almost 24 hours later, the plane has still not been found and that the search for the plane has continued.
He said his media house spoke with the Malawi Defense Force spokesperson and that the status quo is still same.
