Zambia Shuts Out Kenya Airways Flights Into Lusaka

Zambia shuts door on Kenyan Airways
Lusaka 5/10/24 – THE Zambia Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has shut down the national airspace to Kenyan Airways beginning October 8th.
This is because Kenya has refused to allow Zambia Airways to operate a flight between Lusaka and Nairobi.
In a letter to their counterpart in Kenya – the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, dated October 2, 2024, the Zambia CAA, informed Kenya that that KQ flights will not be allowed into Zambia effective 22hrs on October 8.

According to the letter by Director General Derrick Luembe, the Kenyans have not responded to the interests by the Zambians to operate a flight into Nairobi and have been ignoring all efforts to resolve this impasse.
It is yet to be seen the effects of this tit for tat by the Zambians.
