Inflation is at 16.5%

Inflation in Zambia

The annual inflation rate in Zambia is currently at 16.5%. In January 2025, annual inflation was recorded at 16.7 The latest report from the Zambia Statistics Agency (ZamStats) shows that the year-on-year inflation rate for April 2025 remained at 16.5%, the same as in March 2025.

This is due to a slight slowdown in food price growth, partly influenced by favorable rains.

The Bank of Zambia projects the inflation rate to average 13.8% in 2025.

Zambia has in the last 4 years been struggling to reduce inflation into the single digit group.
